The whole file system is different nowadays. It's casc not mpq. Why not use a torrent? If its because of your isp then I understand but is it just because of fear of torrents?

Download bittorrent, and tell it no to any additional downloads. Then just download excalibur's client. Nost is the only server I know of to ever provide an installer like that for the client.
