Integration between SoftDent Software and KODAK Dental Imaging Software The prerequisites for setting up KODAK dental imaging software installations are as follows: 1. Hi Merete, ok, sorry it took me such a long time. I checked and everything is network just like you advised and seen on the documentation. I didn't setup this server so i'm not sure if it was setup correctly the first time but here is what I have as far as the installs location and share folders. C: SoftDent PWImages Patie nt - here is where the patient images are stored at and it is shared as TW. C: TW - there is also a TW folder on the root of C but this is not shared at all. I have three computers that are setup identically and one opens kodak within Softdent with no problems. The second one opens up but it takes a couple of attempts and it's fraustrating when there are patients. The third one doens't open kodak at all so at this point it's not being used.

Windows 7 home or pro How are the computers connected? Wired or wireless through a router? All the shared folders are in the root of C?

There should be no difference with lan network speed so it must be something on the last computer. The fact the further away the systems are possibly a problem with wireless? So these folders are accessed by the program Softdent on all three computers? Have you run a disc cleanup since working with images can cause a very large temp files and windows will slow down opening them. In my network setup I use the public folder and all three computers here open them same speed wired with a cat 5 ethernet.

Visit the Network pane in Windows Explorer or File Explorer to view other computers sharing files with you.
